Stephanie Sun is a painter, currently based in Chicago and Shanghai. She studies Painting and Drawing at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Her practice explores impermanence through describing imaginary landscapes. Through thin layerings, muted colors, and limited context, she plays with the process of accepting and denying.
Stephanie is currently the co-founder and an exhibiting artist of 隔室CUBICLE artist Collective. She co-hosted and participated in the “Unmoored Cantilever” exhibition in Chicago in 2025. Later that August, she co-curated the “In the Limen” exhibition in MuYang Museum in Beijing.
